What happens on days when it's not possible to follow the plan?
Don't worry, there are always times when it becomes impossible to follow the plan or complete your diary. Life has a tendency to throw obstacles in our way.
Try to always carry a notebook so you can jot down what you eat. You should then find it really easy to catch up and add food to your diary at a later date.
If you consume anything with a barcode, jot the last few numbers of the barcode down (it should save time adding it to your diary).
When you've added everything, check your weekly summary. Your aim is to achieve your target calorie allowance.
If you're over your allowance, plan in some exercise to burn the extra calories or reduce portion sizes of your remaining meals.
